Andy Tauer owns his perfume brand Tauer Perfumes which is based in Switzerland founded in the year 2005. Andy a chemist by profession and a 100% self-trained perfumer, initially launched Tauer Perfumes as a one-man operation while continuing his part-time day job.

Andy has become popular within perfumistas around the world because of his famous natural fragrant perfumes that features high-quality ingredients and innovative preparatory ways, and also for his accessibility to the people.

He has maintained an open and friendly dialogue with the perfume community via social media like social network sites and his well known blogs, beginning with his first in 2006, and extending to a new collaborative podium, PERFUMism.com, in the year 2009.

The internet helped Tauer Perfumes grow as a worldwide renowned brand, and Andy Tauer himself is equally well known for his remarkable talent and his support of the artisan and independent perfume industry. He writes blogs for all his followers to be updated about his creations and also about the daily happenings in his life and Tauer Perfumes.

Collections of perfumes

Tauer Perfumes are today produced in four different collections:

1. Classics, which include the first fragrances that captured the public’s attention—Le Maroc Pour Elle (2005), L’Air du Desert Marocain (2005) and Lonestar Memories (2006).

2. Homages, in which the fragrances feature exclusive ingredients and a high concentration of natural oils;

3. PentaChords, which emphasizes a “less is more” philosophy

4. Collectibles, a low-volume line featuring precious raw materials whose availability fluctuates from year to year.

Andy also got offers for getting associated with film industry. This he started in the year 2011 where he began collaboration with filmmaker Brian Pera which he called Tableau de Parfums. In this collaboration, Andy creates perfume “portraits” inspired by the characters in Pera’s film series named ‘Woman’s Picture’.

He also launched a new fragrance during this collaboration called as Miriam.

Designer Tauer Perfumes has 18 perfumes in our fragrance list. The earliest edition was created in 2005 and the newest is in the year 2013. There is none other than Andy Tauer and his great nose who worked on the fragrances and made it what it is today.
